- —Thor on having his own movie[src]
Thor Odinson is a superhero appearing in Marvel Comics and is based on the Norse deity of the same name. He is the Asgardian god of thunder who possesses the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, which grants him the ability to fly, manipulate weather, etc. He first appeared in Journey into Mystery #83 and was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby. He is a founding member of the Avengers and is often pitted against his younger brother Loki, the Asgardian god of mischief and trickery. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor debuted in 2011's Thor and is played by Chris Hemsworth.
Chris Hemsworth plays Thor and is portrayed as rather whiny and pompous. He asserts that sitting in a chair while the crew is filming a Thor flight scene with a green screen does not ruin the effect and later throws a tantrum when his blond wig gets caught on his costume.
Thor is with the other Avengers as they talk about how nice it is to have their own movies when Black Widow complains that she does not have her own.
Thor is in a workshop, hammering a nail into a birdhouse with Mjolnir. A crass nerd (played by Ian Hecox) appears behind him and berates the Asgardian for his outdated depiction as Thor no longer has long hair and wields Stormbreaker instead of Mjolnir. The nerd continues to chide Thor before Captain Marvel appears and vaporizes the nerd with a photon blast.
