This Week in Smosh is a side series and an update on BTS (Behind The Scenes) that shows the bloopers and behind the scenes footage of multiple episodes instead of just a single one. It premiered January 16, 2017. In the intro to the videos at first shown as "BTS 2.0 Beta with Smosh". In 2017, they began reconstructing how they would devise a BTS video. On April 28, 2017, This Week in Smosh was changed to not only show BTS from Smosh main channel videos but also from Smosh Pit. In 2018, a short set of bloopers and behind-the-scenes footage for each sketch began airing after the conclusion of the video in lieu of a separate video for bloopers. This was eventually retired from sketches when Anthony returned to Smosh, as he and Ian started members-only blooper videos instead, a trend that still continues with Bit City 's Cut for Time segment.
