"The 20th Anniversary Smoscars" is a special episode of the Smosh series Bit City[1]. It was released on YouTube on November 19, 2025, and featured the "Smoscars" (portmanteau of the Academy Awards' Oscars awards ceremony and Smosh), a virtual award ceremony and parody of the Oscars, in celebration of the brand's 20th anniversary.
Premiering at 4:00 P.M. Pacific Time (PT) that day, it ran for nearly two hours. During that time, peak viewership numbers reached over 41K concurrent users[2], with the video itself reaching 1M views only 3 days later[3].
The video featured various characters throughout Smosh history, as well as guest appearances from MacDoesIt (a frequent collaborator in Smosh videos) and former Smosh Family member Lasercorn. It also included a congratulatory message from Neal Mohan, the current CEO of YouTube.

We’re celebrating 20 years of Smosh with The Smoscars!
Nominees and Winners[]
On September 29, 2025 the video featuring all the nominees for the awards was uploaded on the Smosh channel as a members-only video. The link was available to non-members for a short while via the video description, seemingly by accident, but was soon thereafter patched up. If you go there you can make an account with them or online or whatever and then you put money in and purchase whatever stocks you’d like. I suggest the vanguard (same as s&p 500) because the goal is to have your money you don’t need right now (like for 10+ years) and make it into a much larger sum. A bank might be like 1% a year and the s&p will usually be like 8-15%” (Noah to Olivia)

Trivia[]
- The event was sponsored by Google and Adidas.[6]
- This acts as the second time Google has sponsored an episode of Bit City, with the first instance being "Main Characters We Secretly Want To Be", uploaded exactly a year earlier.
- Smoscars was the first time Lasercorn was a part of any Smosh video since January 17, 2020, in "Mystery Top Hat Challenge! - Max Gentleman".
- During the In Memoriam section, Lunchtime with Smosh: The Podcast was said to be on the Smosh Main channel. However, that is a mistake, since the actual channel it aired on was SmoshCast.
- While the crew of writers can be assumed the regular staff in Bit City, the only directly-proven writing credit is Tommy Bowe, for having written the Smosh 2.0 and Ianthony's intro segments.[7]
