Smosh's Food Battle: THE GAME Live Stream Extravaganza!

Smosh's Food Battle: THE GAME Live Stream Extravaganza! was the first ever livestream by Smosh. It was streamed live through YouTube and Indiegogo on 21 August 2013.

It was hosted by Anthony and Ian with guest appearance of Sohinki, Lasercorn and Jovenshire. There was also another person (offscreen) who was responsible for technical matters who was called "Ian's Mom". There are a few rumors that it was Anthony's Girlfriend, or Ian's Actual Mother. Ian referred to him/her in third person ("Ian's Mom" and not just "Mom") so this could be evidence that it was someone else.

Summary

The 7.5-hour live stream began at approximately 12:15 PDT on Wednesday 21st August 2013 (15:15 EDT/20:15 BST), it was meant to start at 12:00, but was delayed due to technical difficulties, at various points in the video there were chances for viewers to purchase Tin Cans (with the labels removed) which feature various foods, some of which were tasty, and others not so much. Everytime a can had been purchased, Ian and Anthony had to eat a spoonful of the can's contents (details at bottom of page). As well as this, whenever one of the money goals had been reached, whichever viewer who had helped them reach it would recieve an item signed by Ian and Anthony (items ranged from Ian's shoes, Anthony's belt and various pieces of Food Battle: The Game concept art), for other goals, Ian and Anthony would have to do an amusing task such as eat 5 donuts at once or perform the Chicken Dance (or as pictured in the thumbnail for the video; Twerking).

For the 7 breaks in the video, the previous Food Battle videos were inserted into the live stream.

Hour 1: 12:15-13:15/Eastern 15:15-16:15/British 20:15-21:15

For the first hour, Ian and Anthony spend some time playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii. During gameplay, 3 milestones were hit, the 1st one was for Ian's shoes, 2nd was for the eating of 5 donuts and 3rd was for them to do the Chicken dance. #7 and #2 of the first 12 tin cans were also purchased in this hour.

Hour 2: 13:15-14:15/Eastern 16:15-17:15/British 21:15-22:15

The 2nd hour started off with the purchase of can #10 and a break for Food Battle 2006, after which, Ian and Anthony proceeded to eat the contents of can #1 and #12. After some of can #12 was eaten, they proceeded to answer a number of twitter questions, some of which were generic, others related to previous food battle videos and the rest related to the game. Among the perks purchased in this hour were the Bloody Arm and the arrow from the Assassin's Creed III video.

Hour 3: 14:15-15:15/Eastern 17:15-18:15/British 22:15-23:15

The 3rd hour started off with Food Battle 2007, followed by Ian and Anthony reading details of the choices of charities that 10% of money raised may go to, this included the charity names, the cause they work towards etc. After this, they proceeded to eat can #6. When they had finished eating the tin can, they mentioned details about the game and asked the fans about other characters they may like to see in the game. At approximately 14:50, the goal was hit for the double twerk, which eventually resulted in Anthony twerking on top of Ian in a "Double-Decker" twerk. The last tin can to be opened in this hour was #4, the contents of which came close to making Anthony vomit. After this, they took another break for Food Battle 2008

Hour 4: 15:15-16:15/Eastern 18:15-19:15/British Wed 21 23:15-Thu 22 0:15

The 4th hour was a special Live edition of Lunchtime with Smosh, with an extra set of twitter questions. Between 15:30 and 15:45, Ian and Anthony ate some of can #11, followed by a break for Food Battle 2009. After the break, they had some of can #3, followed by a dramatic reading of Fan-fictions and can #5.

Hour 5: 16:15-17:15/Eastern 19:15-20:15/British 0:15-1:15 Thu 22

Hour 5 started during the reading of the 2nd fan-fiction, following on from this, Anthony proceeded to take off his belt due to one of the viewers purchasing it as a perk; as part of an earlier promise to that person, he then whipped Ian's nipple before opening can #8 (the penultimate can). After eating from that particular can, Ian and Anthony read from the Mad-libs (written during the Food Battle 2009 break). Shortly before 17:00, Ian and Anthony ate some of the final can (#9) (Ian changed into his embarassing outfit as Anthony was opening it). At 17:00, the live stream took a break for Food Battle 2010, and finally the 5th hour ended halfway through the fan fiction reading in silly outfits.

Hour 6: 17:15-18:20/Eastern 20:15-21:20/British 1:15-2:20 Thu 22

Hour 6 began halfway through the fan fiction reading, when this was finished there was a 6th break for Food Battle 2011. After the break, there was a further game update with art previews before bringing in Sohinki, Lasercorn and Jovenshire to play some Mario Kart. Before playing, it was revealed that 8 more tin cans had been purchased; as well as this, as part of reaching another milestone, Jovenshire had to remove Ian's belt with his teeth. After 1 race of Mario Kart, Anthony, Sohinki, Ian, Lasercorn and Jovenshire all have to eat cans #16, #20 and #14. As Sohinki lost the 1st race, he then passed his controller over to Jovenshire for the 2nd race. At the end, they then eat can #19 and #13. Jovenshire lost the 2nd race so handed it back to Sohinki for the 3rd and following the end of that, the 6th hour ends with the gang eating the contents of can #15.

Hour 7: 18:20-19:25/Eastern 21:20-22:25/British 2:20-3:25 Thu 22

The final hour started with the gang eating the penultimate can overall (#18), and followed on with the final race on Rainbow Road (with Jovenshire replacing Lasercorn), at the end of this they eat the contents of the very last can (#17) before breaking for Food Battle 2012. After the last break, Ian and Anthony are once again alone and tell their embarassing stories in foreign accents (with Ian going for a generic Arabian accent and Anthony going for an unidentifiable accent while also affecting a lisp). They then talk about game updates and give a backstory to the game's evil dount. In order to fill some of the remaining minutes, they have a silly string fight and then do some drawings to go up as perks. Finally, Ian and Anthony tell the viewers to look out for the Food Battle 2013 announcement and finish the live stream with a donut party (eating donuts to various pieces of club music).
