Shipping is the combination of names from two or more people, meant to signify a relationship between them, most often a monoamory romantic one, regardless its' status as real or fictional. A ship, derived from the word "relationship", may be romantic, platonic, or familial; shipping is used most generally in fan-fiction, as well as original source materials, however real life cases do co-exist. Fans who use shipping are known as "Shippers".

Ian Calls Out Shippers[]
On January 28, 2016, Ian posted a Tweet about fans overusing Ianthony. While he isn't against people writing fan fiction, considering it to be "harmless fun", some fans have turned Ianthony from fan fiction to the real world. Fans have insisted that Anthony and him will be lovers someday, going so far as to have insulted and threatened women he posts pictures of on his social media. (Reference needed)
