Lisa Van Lenner is the Head of Human Relations (HR) for Mythical Entertainment. She also appeared in some Smosh videos, where she was referred to as the "head of HR" in a running joke prior to her current role.
About[]
Prior to working at Smosh, Van Lenner has worked as part of production for numerous media and media-related companies such as Popsugar, Vice Media, Endemol Beyond USA, Intellectual Property Corporation, Shine America, Eyeboogie, FremantleMedia, Lifetime Television and Paradigm Talent Agency. Prior to her current position, she served as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Production and Operations for Smosh, from July to December 2022, and prior to that, VP of Production and Operations. [1]
Before her departure from Smosh, she was a recurring guest in Smosh and Smosh Pit videos, where she was referred to as the "head of HR". In "Who Knows Our Crew Best?", she revealed that she was never involved in Human Relations and was merely a running gag throughout her appearances as they did not have a Human Relations Department at the time.[2] A week later, during the Q&A livestream for Smosh: Under The Mistletoe held at Instagram Live on December 16, 2022, Ian Hecox announced that she was actually promoted to HR for Mythical Entertainment.[3]
With Hecox and Anthony Padilla's acquisition of Smosh in 2023, Van Lenner no longer assumes the role as its head of HR. She was replaced by Nate Deas, as confirmed in "We Roast Anthony With Memes (Who Meme'd It?)".
