The Hecox family's apartment is a location in "Oh, the Joys of Puberty," a 2002 Smosh.com article written by Ian Hecox. In the story, the Hecox family lived in the apartment, where fictional counterpart started going through puberty.
Description[]
Located in an apartment building one block away from a laundromat, the apartment was accessible through the apartment hallway and housed at least one bedroom used by Ian Hecox, which contained his bed, bedsheets, and alarm.[1]
History[]
In 2002, the apartment served as the residence for the Hecox family, which consisted of Ian Hecox, his mother Sharon Hecox, his younger sister, and their pet dog[1] Sparky.[source?] That year, when Ian started puberty at the age of fifteen, he began having wet dreams and frequently soiled his bedsheets, which he would then lose, attributing the loss to ninjas when confronted by his mother. During one of these incidents, Hecox left for the laundromat in his boxers to wash his bedsheets but returned home after forgetting his change. When a homeless man stole his bedsheets at the laundromat, Hecox returned home, where he lied to his mother and claimed that ninjas had once again taken his sheets. Over the next two weeks, Hecox continued to blame ninjas for his lost bedsheets and faced ridicule from his sister and dog for his puberty-related mishaps.[1]
