Smosh Game Bang (officially simplified as Game Bang) was a show that aired on Smosh Games every Friday. The show used to come out alongside Top 5, but in early 2014, Top 5 was moved to Saturdays, making Game Bang the only Friday series.

In late March 2018, they celebrated the "272nd" Game Bang (although it was the 288th episode) with an hour-long special episode and ended this episode with the statement that Game Bang would officially be taking a break from the regular upload schedule, effectively announcing that the show had ended.

In this show, the entire Smosh Games crew (Jovenshire, Lasercorn, Mari, Sohinki, Flitz, Wes, Boze or Damien, depending who was on the Smosh Games roster at the time) would get together and spend the entire video playing a game of theirs, or the fan's, choosing. In Game Bang's beginnings, the show also featured the main Smosh duo (Anthony and Ian); but as time progressed, their features on the show were treated more as guest appearances. Following the introduction of the Smosh Squad into personality-based content in late 2015, the five Squad members would also occasionally join the Smosh Games crew in episodes.

Each episode almost always contained one or more punishments that the loser, (or losers), of each game had to complete. One of the most notable examples, and most popular, are the Just Dance Game Bangs, which have functioned as Smosh's annual Halloween video even after the end of Game Bang. The two players with the lowest scores have to do the punishment together, usually a partner dance, being an homage to Ian and Lasercorn's romantic duet in the first Just Dance 4 Game Bang.

In October 2016, Game Bang was revamped and renamed to Game Bang 2.0, which first aired on October 14, 2016. The new show was roped into Smoshtober, in the format of an inaugural three-week tournament leading up to a live punishment on October 28. Ian and Anthony temporarily returned for the event, whilst the Smosh Squad also temporarily appeared full-time.

In May 2017, live punishments were discontinued in favor of a "Wheel of Punishment" for the losers. During that time, guest stars would join the Smosh Games hosts, usually for two episodes.

In August of 2017, Lasercorn and Sohinki left Smosh Games full time, but still make appearances every now and then, including appearing for episodes of Game Bang.

In January of 2018, FLitz left Smosh Games due to sexual assault accusations, making Game Bang a 5 person show for the first time. Smosh Games sometimes brought in guests, or simply had a smaller Game Bang.

On March 30, 2018, Smosh Games aired their final episode as an extravaganza special. Ian, Lasercorn, Sohinki, and the Smosh Squad made an official one-off return to Smosh Games to revisit five of their favorite games over the years, including Gang Beasts, Cards Against Humanity, Five Nights at Freddy's, Twister, and Just Dance 2018. The Just Dance segment ended with Ian and Lasercorn reenacting their famous duet from the first ever Just Dance Game Bang, which Joven confirmed to be the most fan-requested Game Bang moment to be reenacted. Although the episode was only referred to within the video as a celebration of 272 episodes, both Joven and Mari later confirmed on social media that the series had come to a close; sure enough, no official Game Bangs have been posted since. However, a two-part Halloween Just Dance series was released with all the elements of a Game Bang but was not referred to as a Game Bang until it was added to the Game Bang playlist.

Weekly Differences/Trivia

On June 21, 2013, Shooting Balls in the Hoops and You Can't Stop the Motion were released on the same day in Smosh Games on the Smosh website, but only Shooting Balls in the Hoops appeared in the YouTube channel. From then on, the newest episode of Smosh Game Bang was uploaded on the Smosh website and then on YouTube a week later.

On November 1, 2013, Breaking It Down In 2014 was uploaded to YouTube, but no new episode appeared on smosh.com. From then on, new episodes would be uploaded on smosh.com and YouTube on the same day.

*1 (Avengers Workout) - Jovenshire was the real loser for this game, but avoided punishment by claiming he had a higher score than he had (it is unknown if he lied or genuinely forgot), resulting in a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors in which Lasercorn and Sohinki lost to him, resulting in their having to do the punishment.

*2 (Don't Take My Sunshine Away/Riding Each Other Like Jet Skis) - All three teams won a round each; because of this, it meant that all three teams lost due to lack of a majority. (happened in two episodes so far, although in the case of Riding Each Other Like Jet Skis only two players did the punishment.)

*3 (Smosh Games NODE Video Game Olympix - Part 1) - Although the results were not shown in this episode, the winners were Sohinki, Anthony, and Lasercorn, who won the Olympix in the 2nd part of the Game. As the Olympix was another competition, the results are not counted as an official Game Bang.

*4 (Smosh Games NODE Video Game Olympix - Part 2) - This was uploaded to NODE's channel and officially is not counted as a Game Bang, but it is the continuation of Part 1 which was uploaded to Smosh Games. There was no punishment for the losers and the results do not count towards the overall statistics.

*5 (We Are Not the Deadliest Warriors) - Lasercorn was the undefeated player, but as the punishment went to any players with less than 3 wins, Ian & Jovenshire were declared joint winners alongside Lasercorn, and Anthony & Sohinki were declared joint losers alongside Mari, who had no victories.

*6 (Jump, Bounce, Twerk) - Anthony was the player with the fastest time, but Ian and Mari were counted as winners alongside him as they were a part of the obstacle course for the losers.

*7 (Slumber Party Games) - Although Anthony, Ian, Jovenshire, and Sohinki all lost, only Sohinki and Joven faced the actual punishment as they were selected by Lasercorn and Mari in a game of Spin the Bottle.

*8 (We Smite Each Other ft The Warp Zone) - As it was collaboration episode with The Warp Zone, the results are not counted as an official Game Bang.

*9 (100th Episode Special - Hamster Katamari!) - As a special thank you for the fans, the 100th episode featured an outdoor physical game based on Katamari involving the players being rolled in a large rubber "hamster ball".

*10 (Crazy Electric Shock Game!) - This episode featured the gang using the Lightning reaction toy as a game and as such was regarded as "One Big Punishment", and as a result no one was deemed to have won or lost.

*11 (Deadly Conclusion to Five Nights at Freddy's) - Lasercorn and Sohinki both lost jointly, but an agreement was made between them that only Lasercorn would do the punishment.

*12 (Hot Pepper Mario Party) - This episode was a joint challenge between all six crew members, and as a result no one was deemed to have won or lost.

*13 (Real Life Prop Hunt) - This episode started as an individual challenge (with two losers planned for punishment) but was changed after the game so team with joint lowest score lost.

*14 (Chivalry Isn't Dead... Yet)- After his team lost the challenge Lasercorn used his "get-out-of-a-punishment" deal with Sohinki so he did not have to do it.

*15 (WWE Gang Beast Battle) - This episode featured guest appearances from Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Xavier Woods and Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) from WWE. Paige teamed up with Jovenshire, Xavier teamed up with Mari, Daniel teamed up with Sohinki and Seth teamed up with Lasercorn and the wrestlers on the losing teams ended up having to take part in the punishment. Because this was a collaboration, the results are not counted as an official Game Bang.

*16 (Anthony the Disco Ballerina!) - Mari, Jovenshire and Lasercorn did the punishment for this episode, but the scores were not announced so it is unknown whether Anthony, Ian or Sohinki actually won.

*17 (Hot Pepper Karaoke) - Because all the players had to eat a Jabanero pepper before their turn, there was no real punishment for this episode, but the winner was given bread and milk to soothe their throat.

*18 (We Are Vengeful Gods) - Despite being one of the winners, Flitz took Mari's place in the punishment for this episode.
