Synopsis[]

Ian and Damien Need Therapy[]

Courtney is grabbing a water bottle from an office refrigerator when Ian arrives, opening up a cup of yogurt and apologizing for his tardiness, blaming bad traffic. Courtney expresses doubt at Ian's excuse and asks if it was because he was crying while in the shower, which Ian denies (although a flashback to an hour earlier reveals otherwise). At that point, Damien arrives and also blames his tardiness on traffic, to which Ian and Courtney both give him a look of doubt. A flashback reveals one second of Damien calmly sipping something from a cup, then suddenly smashing said cup on the ground in anger.

Courtney berates Ian and Damien for their consistent tardiness throughout the past month because they continue to bottle up their emotions. Ian and Damien angrily rebuke Courtney to the point of threatening to burn the office down, causing Courtney to tell them that they need to go to therapy, which they angrily refuse and leave. Ian and Damien continue to refuse Courtney's pesterings for them to go to therapy until they finally agree, leaving a hospital patient in the middle of surgery to die as said patient flatlines. After they leave, Courtney takes out a pair of tweezers and pulls out the patient's gold tooth for cash.

The Eccentric Old Man[]

Ian and Damien wait for their therapist, Dr. Dilf, in the waiting room. As they wait, they try to convince themselves that therapy is no big deal. The two start to hear distant sounds of a pan flute echoing in the room. Suddenly, an old man (Shayne Topp) dressed in an old brown suit jacket, a top hat, and grey, uncombable hair and a crazed eye appears on the seat between them. The old man warns the two that he has seen many people enter and none return and tells them to be careful. Ian whispers to Damien and asks who the old man is, and Damien suggests that he could be another patient. Ian thanks the old man and tells him that he and Damien are fine, but the old man continues:

Damien and Ian get up and move to another seat, but notice that the old man is nowhere to be seen, which they chalk up to him potentially having Heelys on. The old man suddenly appears between them again, playing his pan flute. He startles the two and warns them that their pride will be their downfall, and leans in close to Damien and whispers to him that "bravery does not survive within the maw". Damien tells Ian that he is scared, and Ian, thinking that talking to the old man will help, offers to get him something to drink, such as water or Pam Extra. Ian and Damien start to panic when they see that the old man is not moving at all until the old man appears beside Damien, scaring him even more. He continues his crazed rants:

Ian has had enough of the man's behavior and rings Dr. Dilf (voiced by Shayne) and demands to be let in, informing the doctor of the rather eccentric man, who is now performing creepy pan flute music next to a visibly uncomfortable Damien. Dr. Dilf asks for his appearance, and Ian and Damien compare him to either a "cheap Party City Mad Hatter" or a "someone on meth at the Renaissance Fair". Ian tells the doctor that the old man has tried to convince them to get out of therapy, to which Dr. Dilf agrees, listing other perils such as Oedipus complex, penis envy, and seagulls that do the Macarena, as his voice transforms into that of the old man. Upon seeing this, Ian yells at Damien that they need to leave.

The two bust through the door into the adjacent hallway, where the old man appears and warns that they cannot leave, since "the well has been dug" and "the groundwater of [their] fears has been unleashed". As Damien tries to bust through a locked door, Ian gets tempted by the old man's offer to show them a hampster in a tuxedo. Damien grabs him and they run through another hallway into a bathroom. Ian locks the bathroom door and the two hide beneath the sinks and quiet themselves. They hear the old man's footsteps and panflute outside. He starts banging on the door for several seconds before stopping, then appears between them and pretends to wonder who is outside.

Dumpster Wizard's Therapeutic Prison[]

Ian and Damien scream and run out as the old man sits and plays his panflute. They find themselves teleported inside a jail cell. Damien tries to get attention by shouting and rattling the jail cell door. The old man appears outside and promises that they will be stuck inside forever and gives a crazed chuckle as he walks away. Ian and Damien start to think that this is where they die. Ian wishes that he told people that he loves them more often, and call his mother more. Damien wishes that he was not so hard on himself so often and taken more risks. The two admit in sync that they had let their walls down sometimes. The two hug and suddenly find themselves back in the waiting room.

The two wonder aloud what had happened. Ian speculates that they were in some sort of dream world of rage and anxiety that mirrored their minds. Damien agrees and theorizes that the old man was a representation of their fears and responsibilities. Dr. Dilf (Jessie Kane Gill) appears and informs Ian and Damien that they were simply having a panic attack on the floor for the past 15 minutes. Damien asks about the eccentric old man, and they are told that he is merely a man who lives in a dumpster. Dr. Dilf asks if they are ready for their appointment, but Ian and Damien loudly decline with "Absolutely not!" and laugh to themselves. As they leave, Dr. Dilf watches them and smiles and considers them cured. She thanks the Dumpster Wizard, who pops out of an outside dumpster as his jingle plays.

Dumpster Wizard Jingle[]

Damien:
He's got a wonky eye and smells like poop
He dressed like a wizard and he's got a pan flute!
Dumpster Wizard:
Part of a balanced breakfast!
