Christopher Michael "Chris" Pratt (born June 21, 1979) is an American actor who rose to fame acting in the popular television series Parks and Recreation. Pratt achieved leading man status after playing lead roles in the 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy and The Lego Movie.

Chris Pratt is rose to prominence for his television roles, particularly as Andy Dwyer in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, for which he received critical acclaim. He achieved leading man status in 2014 after starring in two critically and commercially successful films, Warner Animation Group's The Lego Movie as Emmet Brickowski and Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy as Star-Lord. In 2015, he starred in Jurassic World and its 2018 sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as The Lego Movie's 2019 sequel The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. He reprises his role as Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). Other major films in Pratt's filmography include The Magnificent Seven (2016), Passengers (2016), and Onward (2020), alongside Avengers co-star Tom Holland.
In 2015, Time named Pratt one of the 100 most influential people in the world on the annual Time 100 list.
