Birdo is a character in the Super Mario franchise. She first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2 and has appeared in many Mario Sports Games, as well as in the Mario Party franchise. In the games, she is seen as a HERO, but is sometimes a villainous character. In the original Super Mario Bros. 2 (released in 1987 for the U.S.), it was said that Birdo was actually a sexually confused male, making Birdo the first trans-gender character in a video game.

- Birdo has been a character played in various Gametime with Smosh and Smosh Game Bang episodes, used by Anthony in Mario Party FTW!, Sohinki in Mario Tennis Throwback and by Ian in Smosh Games Party.
