Amanda Cathryn Lehan (born February 14, 1988), known professionally as Amanda Lehan-Canto, is an American comedian and screenwriter that began appearing in Smosh videos in April of 2020. She was confirmed to be a member of the Smosh Family on March 24, 2022.
Biography[]
Before Smosh, Lehan-Canto attended University of Massachusetts - Amherst and earned a B.A. in Communications/Broadcasting & Theatre.[2] In her early career, she was a Production Assistant and Writer at WHDH-TV Channel 7 (NBC) in Boston.[2] She is a current performer on UCB's Maude Team, "Smoke Show". She was a writer and creator for Panda City Comedy[2], WhoHaHa, and Funny or Die. Along with on-screen acting, she also works in voice-over and has posted reels of her voice-over work to her YouTube channel.[3] She has also appeared on commercials for brands like Old Navy, T-Mobile, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Manscaped. [4]
In the video "SmoshCast is BACK"[5], Amanda along with Shayne Topp, were announced to be a host on SmoshCast, the show itself having been renamed Smosh Mouth.
Amanda's last name is Lehan, but she hyphenated it with her mother's maiden name Canto for her registered SAG name.[6]
She has been in a relationship with Hardzei Perapechka since March 27, 2015.[7] They got engaged on March 24, 2022 in New York City and married on May 4, 2023 at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.[8][9] On April 24, 2025, Lehan-Canto announced she was pregnant with their first child.[10]

- Amanda is a member of the Groundlings Improv Theatre.[11]
- Amanda has three sisters, and they are all born on holidays (Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve and Indigenous Peoples' Day).[12]
- Amanda's mother, Cindy, made a cameo appearance, albeit on a phone call, in the final Let's Do This! episode, "We Get Revenge On Each Other".[1]
- Amanda and Kimmy Jimenez knew each other and have been friends before they started working at Smosh, due to working at the same restaurant in Los Angeles.[12]
- They also got engaged to their boyfriends at around the same time.[12]
- Amanda has been attacked by a Coati (Tejon) when working at an animal refuge in Bolivia, and had to have 9 stitches by a vet, which leaves a scar on her right shoulder.[12]
- She was asked out by Tim Robbins, star of Shawshank Redemption, during her time working at a restaurant.[12]
- She had been arrested by her D.A.R.E. officer.[12]
- Amanda has been told that she looks like Adam Sandler and the Cat in the Hat.[13]
