Amanda Cathryn Lehan-Canto (born February 14, 1988) is an American actress and screenwriter that began appearing in Smosh videos in April of 2020. She was confirmed to be a member of the Smosh Family on March 24, 2022.
Biography[]
Before Smosh, Lehan-Canto attended University of Massachusetts - Amherst and earned a B.A. in Communications/Broadcasting & Theatre.[1] In her early career, she was a Production Assistant and Writer at WHDH-TV Channel 7 (NBC) in Boston.[1] She is a current performer on UCB's Maude Team, "Smoke Show". She was a writer and creator for Panda City Comedy[1], WhoHaHa, and Funny or Die. Along with on-screen acting, she also works in voice-over and has posted reels of her voice-over work to her YouTube channel.[2] She has also appeared on commercials for brands like Old Navy, T-Mobile, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Manscaped. [3]
In the video SmoshCast is BACK[4], Amanda along with Shayne Topp, were announced to be a host on SmoshCast, the show itself having been renamed Smosh Mouth.
Amanda's last name is Lehan, but she hyphenated it with her mother's maiden name Canto for her registered SAG name.[5]
