Alien vs. Predator (also known as Aliens versus Predator and AVP) is a science-fiction/action media franchise created by comic book writers Randy Stradley and Chris Warner. The series is a crossover between the Alien and Predator franchises, depicting the two races as being in conflict with one another. Starting as a comic series in 1989, it was adapted into a video game series in the 1990s. In 2004, the franchise was made into a film series produced and distributed by 20th Century Fox, starting with Alien vs. Predator in 2004. The series has led to numerous novels, comics, and video game spin-offs such as 2010's Aliens vs. Predator released in 2010 to generally positive reviews.

  • Aliens vs. Predator is a first-person shooter game developed by Rebellion Developments and published by Sega for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is a reboot based on the franchise and incorporates elements of the two live-action films, Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007). As with previous titles, it features three campaigns, one for each of the Predators, Aliens, and Colonial Marines. These campaigns are separate in terms of individual plot and gameplay, but form one overlapping storyline.
